Seasonal wedding trends have always been a fascinating subject for both couples and industry professionals. 2024 has been a quieter year for the wedding industry, and hence with this increased availability, it seems more couples opted for a Summer wedding, meaning the Spring was noticeably quieter. Unlike previous years, when our wedding season kicked off in early January, February and March, this year saw our FP wedding season start in May.

Spring 2024 was a time of recharge and renewal; launching our new website and branding. But we have so missed all the Spring blooms; anemones, ranunculus, tulips, narcissus, hyacinth, and blossom. The hallmarks of British Spring weddings.

However, there is a palpable sense of excitement for 2025. We’ve already seen a significant increase in Spring enquiries and bookings; it’s shaping up to be a bustling season. We are genuinely so excited to be able to incorporate the abundance of spring blooms into our 2025 weddings.

The Beauty of Spring Weddings

Early spring weddings hold a unique charm that is hard to replicate in other seasons. Here are some of reasons why they’re so special:

Potted Bulbs

We love using potted bulbs in our spring wedding designs. Using antique-clay pots, we can incorporate snowdrops, grape hyacinths, and fritillaries into your wedding tablescape. These potted bulbs not only bring a charming touch to the decor but also allow for a natural and organic feel that resonates with the essence of spring. Snowdrops, with their delicate white blossoms, signal the end of winter and the beginning of a new season. Grape hyacinths, with their petite, bell-shaped flowers, add pops of deep blue to the arrangement. Fritillaries, with their distinctive checkered patterns, introduce an element of surprise and uniqueness to each table.

Highly Scented

The allure of British Spring weddings is significantly heightened by the presence of highly scented flowers. Narcissus, for example, provide a sweet, heady fragrance. Primroses, with their delicate yet unmistakable scent, evoke the fresh essence of early spring. Hyacinths are another standout, their robust fragrance known to permeate an entire room, creating an intoxicating atmosphere that guests are sure to remember. These aromatic blooms not only enhance the visual appeal of the event but also create a multi-sensory experience that perfectly embodies the spirit of spring.

Vibrant Colours

Spring flowers are a celebration of Mother Nature’s palette, showcasing all the vibrant colours that the season has to offer. Icelandic poppies, with their delicate petals and bright hues. Muscari, often known as grape hyacinths, bring a touch of deep blue, reminiscent of the clear spring sky. Ranunculus, with their layered blooms, offer an array of warm tones from yellows to oranges and pinks. Anemones, known for their striking contrast between their dark centers and vivid petals, add a touch of drama and elegance.

While Spring 2024 may have been quieter, the enthusiasm for 2025 is undeniable. The return of early spring weddings brings a renewed sense of optimism and excitement.
